Welcome To Valleyworkforce.com

The central Shenandoah Valley is home to progressive employers and career opportunities. Our scenic geography, communities rich in quality of life, exceptional educational institutions, moderate cost of living, and climate with four distinct seasons makes us good neighbors, friends, and co-workers with a strong value for community, work, and family. If you're interested in relocating to the Shenandoah Valley area, click here for more information.

This site (part of the Virginia Workforce Network) is a resource for job seekers, employers, and service providers of the central Shenandoah Valley.

Job seekers can use the Virginia Employment Commission's Automated Labor EXchange System ("ALEX") which offers several options for a self-directed job search in specific Virginia cities and counties, a national job search by state, Military Specialty, government jobs, and other national sites for jobs and employment information.  Job seekers may also search for employment using the online classified sections of local Valley newspapers.

Employers may post job orders to the VEC's job order database.

Who are the top 50 employers in our area? If you're curious, check out the Virginia Employment Commission's latest list. View the top 50 for our area, or the VEC report for the entire state (we are Area IV).

The Virginia Workforce Network in the central Shenandoah Valley is sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Investment Board. Our Board members include area businesses, service agencies, and training providers working together to provide integrated, user-friendly, and responsive services to our community of employers, workers, and job seekers.

Program Auxiliary Aids and Services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities
